Dealing with Tinea Versicolor

It's been a while since I've last blogged, primarily due to a few reasons. One of those was a recent diagnosis of Tinea Versicolor, or TV.

TV is a yeast infection of the skin, characterized by pink and brown blotches that usually appear on the trunk of the body - notably the chest and shoulders. I didn't notice it at first, since it started around late summer, and I thought it was my skin peeling (something that happens to me often after I get a tan).

Covering gray hair – why should bald guys have all the fun?

Life can be cruel sometimes. That was evident to me when I recently decided to grow a beard, only to find about half of it was gray hair! An Ounce of Prevention is Worth...a Pound of Hair?

Benjamin Franklin once said, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" - sound advice from the great American statesman. Although the comment was made in context with fire prevention, it's applicable in many ways to our general health and well being. If you take proper care of yourself now, you avoid potential ailments that may arise in the future.
